Faculty Lounge (12/20/2005)

Jenny'd woken up early, with the feeling that her player knew that the Doctor had gone off to be with CJ and wouldn't be around to do this IC she was going to have to take an extra turn opening up the faculty lounge today.

Since she hadn't been prepared, she'd just run out and bought a few dozen candy canes, some bagels and cream cheese, a whole bunch of hot chocolate, and coffee.

{{OOC: Doctor? I was presuming that you wouldn't be around, and since we trade off on Tuesdays for the lounge, I just opened up. Please let me know if that's a problem.}}

Eighth comes into the faculty lounge, looks over at the media cabinet and shrieks. "The xBox is gone! And we had become such close and dear friends!!" She is filled with woe.

Eighth is very sad as the xBox was almost becoming more and more sentient and she liked their chats. "It was nice," she says pathetically.

She sits down and looks a little sad. "Well, we can hope." Forcing herself to be cheerful, she asks, "and how are you this morning, Jenny?"

"Lesson plans!" and now her eyes gleam, "I am very excited about my upcoming class, oh yes."

"Oh no," she says with a feline smile, "I'm teaching tactical theory next semester."

Mac comes into the lounge playing with his new gift (http://www.gerbertools.com/Gerber-Multi-Plier-600-Needlenose-w-Tool-Kit-7540.htm) from his TA. It was amazing.

He also had assorted gifts for the other faculty members as well.

"Just finished with the final exam," Mac said cheerfully. He pulled out a small wrapped gift (http://www.victorinox.com/newsite/images/news/0_6026_t.jpg) and tossed it to Jenny.

"Consider it a little thank you for the new hairstyle and a Merry-whatever-you-techno-pagans-celebrate."

((Not a problem at all. I'm sorry.))

Mac looked over the book with grin. "Well, I don't know everything... but this looks like the perfect book to get class ideas from to use for class next term. I'll have to make sure that the students can get hold of a copy. Thanks!"

Smith sits down on a couch, and opens the small paper sack he carried in with him. He retrieves a hot fast-food apple pie, and opens one end of the package. He blows on it carefully before taking a nice big bite.

"Apple pie always reminds me of how superior I am to the apple. I like eating inferior things. Then again, there isn't anything that I am not superior to. But I don't think I would eat, say, this couch. What is the point of eating a couch, if you are unable to spread it with jam?"

He is addressing no one in particular.

Mac raises an eyebrow. "Other than watching your colon explode, why would you want to eat a couch? Even Jam wouldn't make it taste that good."
