"I have two things I'd like to bring up. First and foremost, I'd like to thank Nathan Petrelli for taking on the Student Council this year, and for running an election that didn't end up with any bloodshed. I look forward to seeing what you all can do this year.

"Second, I want to apologize to those of you who were forced to participate in the tournament last weekend against the inhabitants of Nemesis Island. I had no intention of agreeing to something that would put all of you into danger, but it couldn't be avoided. I'm glad you're all all right, and I hope that the way things had to be dealt with hasn't caused any of you to lose faith in myself or the mayor. That was all I wanted to say, thank you."
