Faculty Hour
Jenny's managed to haul in a whole bunch of coffee for today. What's life without caffeine? She's also got tea--black and herbal--for the decaf and non-coffee-drinking freaks types.
The food table has hummus, baba ganoush and pita, chips and salsa--spicy and mild, as well as some melted cheese dip and nacho toppings--sliced fruit and berries set next to a dip that's labelled as vanilla yogurt and cream cheese, vegetables and ranch dressing, spring rolls--vegetarian and shrimp--with plum sauce, and off in the back of the table, melted chocolate with strawberries and other fruits for dipping.
Jenny's sitting in a corner, a plate of food and a large mug of coffee next to her, and is typing away on her laptop.
OOC ETA: There is a conversation between CJ Cregg and Daniel Jackson that has been screened (either permanently or temporarily, I'm not sure) due to a player issue. Thank you.

except for this kid who looks almost exactly like me. I really enjoy seeing them come up with different solutions to a problem. I guess I'm lucky. So what did you do before you came to fandom? Were you a psychologist?"no subject

Mac takes a bite of the pita and hummus.
"Good hummus by the way... I assume you made it?"
no subject
Jenny shook her head. "Me? Nope. I learned to cook, but nothing fancy. I ran off and bought most of this."

Mac snacked on more of the hummus.
"So you're a professionally trained teacher? I think that's something unique for this high school. I find myself improvising almost everything for class. Grading the kids' projects is going to be an interesting process."

Jenny took a drink of her coffee. "Yeah, degreed and all. Got my certificate for California, and they're reviewing me now for Virginia. Though as Fandom's a private school, I don't actually need the certificate. Improvising? Cool. Lesson plans can only get you so far anyway. And grading's a nightmare no matter how many education courses you've taken."

Mac takes a sip of his coffee.
"You can drop by my class on Thursday morning if you are interested in seeing it in action."

and seeing as how it's Thursday morning, I'm off to look for the class posting."Thanks."no subject
Daniel's nose actually twitched when he smelt the coffee, and he immediately headed straight for the table to pour himself a large mug. He sighed happily.

CJ, good to see you. Term has been *laughs* exhausting. Although I wish more of my students realized that the term was still going. How about you?

[She looks down at the hummus, drawing a smiliey face in it with her pita] How's Janet?

*a soft smile creeps across hs face*
She's... she's great. Took me ice skating on Sunday, which I've never done before. She managed to drag me aroud the rink without actually falling over!
