Sushi is the food of the day. California rolls are in abundance, but there is an incredible selection. Miso soup, noodles, and rice crackers accompany. Don't forget your wasabi and pickled ginger!

I...see. [She has a bowl with noodles floating in miso and she starts to eat, watchng him.]

[She sighs] Yep...next week, cafeteria food. Until I'm psychic, you have to use actual words that make sentences, Ten. I can't take it if you're both taciturn.

Both? [He snorts.] Oh, please, I communicate far better than HE does.

{her eyes widen] Ohhh...I see. Well, I find a jealous hissy fit works well. [More noodles disappear before she says anything...irritating.]

Who would I be jealous of? You? [He raises his hands in exasperation and finishes his tea. He scowls at it.] This tea's cold. And I don't do hissy fits, I tend to scowl at people until they notice, and then deliver pithy, well-barbed remarks.

You scowl so much lately, it's the norm. He's not going to notice. [Smiling softly, she takes his hand.] He's an idiot Ten. He doesn't even know you're bothered. I can pretty much promise that.

Well, then. He's a bloody unobservant idiot, and at his age, one would think he'd have learned to be otherwise as a mere survival mechanism. [He's hunched over and STILL scowling.]

I know. I told him...[she sighs]...I don't know what I can do. You two need to work it out. I said this would only work if we all communicated. And, you know...[she takes his hand]...he does love you. It's so obvious when you two are together.

Oh, it's obvious? Really. [He slumps again, then sighs, breaking his scowl and looking more serious.] We can work it out. I just...don't want it to look like I'm chasing after him like some sort of deranged obsessive. So it's his move, CJ.

I know, amoureaux, I know. Um...did you ever consider, perhaps, he likes being pursued? It can be...flattering...to know someone wants you that much.

Why don't you go over there and lay down for a bit? It's a good couch to be hungover on. Just til class.
