The Lounge is Open - 12/15/2005

Given the time of year, Methos has done his best to make things festive.

Accordingly, he has set up a beer bar with twelve pony kegs of beer, clearly labeled as to what kind (blonde, amber, dark, stout, pilsner, porter, etc.). A stack of pints and glasses are off to the side.

On another table is a spread of nice starchy foods -- dark breads, country fried potatoes kept warm in a chaffing dish, cold pasta salads, and the like.

On another table is non-alcoholic alternatives -- the requisite coffee, tea and hot chocolate, plus another kettle of apple cider.

Please to be getting drunk now. Kaithxbai.

ETA: There is now entertainment equipment for the lounge as well. Beer and video games. It's like a frat house, without the frat boys.

"Gotta say, they always do," she said, opening her first bottle of beer. "So what was with the crazy today?"

Mac giggled. "I gave them the option of creating their own environment. One kid did a field of technicolor wheat. Another one did this weird alien landscape. They've got quite the imangination you know."

Mac sighs and cracks open another beer.

"What about you? How's your kidzzz doing?"

"About half of them have stopped showing up to class," said Jenny. "Which, gotta say? Kinda lame. Plus I think snake chick vanished."

She tilted her head and stared at Mac. "So how much have you had to drink today?"

Mac tries to think of how much he's had to drink since he came in the lounge.

"ummmm. Lots?"

Jenny laughs. "Guess so," she says. "Shame one of the kids didn't come up with a barbershop. You could use a haircut."

Mac looks slightly confused. "What's wrong with my hair? Business in the front... Party in the back..."

"It's a little messy," said Jenny. "Also, kinda 80s in a seriously weird way."

"What? Not long enough in the back? Shorter in front?" Mac says. He was pretty sure his show was on in the 90's that his hairstyle was current. Better than that Jedi kid's hair anyway.

"Come on," said Jenny, taking his hand and leading him towards the door. "Trust me on this one. You'll love it!"

Normally Mac would be a little more wary of a woman wanting to get his hair cut.

However because Mac was drunk his thought processes were pretty much down to something like: "Pretty lady. Hand touching. Good. Follow."

And out the door they went.
