Teacher's Lounge [Tuesday, October 3, all day]

Josh gave Biff a friendly wave, then walked into the teacher's lounge with two sheets of paper--one for teachers to sign up as chaperones for the dance on Friday night and another for them to sign up to sit in the dunk tank or agree to get pies thrown at them.

Given the lack of sports teams at the moment, Josh was feeling pretty good about his odds of remaining pie-free.

Josh was very, very dumb sometimes.

He tacked the two lists onto the bulletin board, left out bribes in the form of coffee and doughnuts, then flipped the television to CNN and tried to catch up on the latest Congressional scandal.

"Hello!" Abby waved her cup at Aly in greeting.

"I know. I'm a horrible person!" Abby grinned. "Or we're both horrible people for finding each other."

"I think the latter is probably true," Aly laughed. "Especially given that we live in the same building and all."

"Yup. Horrible, horrible people." Abby laughed. "I say we forgive ourselves and drown our horribleness in chocolate and mischief."

"Sadly, I'm out of chocolate."

Aly grinned. "I can't imagine being out of mischief though. Obviously that needs to be the remedy."

"Obviously." Abby took a long sip from her cup as she thought. "Any ideas?"

"It depends on who exactly is the recipient of said mischief," Aly replied, playing with the beads of her necklace.

"I think we need equal opportunity mischief that's both mischiefy and fun." Abby nodded. "We need more fun teacher things."

"Fun, mischief and cool shoes." Abby nodded. "Sounds like a plan."

"I suppose the question is when exactly would we do this?" she replied.

"Well, we could either try and do it before Thursday or wait until after homecoming." Abby shrugged. "It would be hard to chaperone if we're stuck at the apartments trying to score a strike off the linen closet."

Aly laughed. "Why do I think our faculty coordinator friend over there would disapprove? Shall we say next week? This week My mun's going nuts seems to already be full. Plus if we do it next week, we have a whole week to recruit."

As he was passing through putting his name on the chaperone list, Aziraphale happened to overhear the bowling plans and chuckled to himself.

"Do you ladies think you might need anyone to provide snacks for this illicit endeavor?"

"When don't I need snacks?" Abby grinned. "But don't think that gets you out of taking your turn bowling."

"Er...it might be difficult for James to bowl one-handed. Perhaps I ought to just sit out and keep him company."

Because no, the angel did not know how to bowl.

"You only need one hand to bowl." Abby arched an eyebrow. "So if I can convince Dr. Wilson to bowl, you'll bowl too?"

Aziraphale knew when he was beaten. There was no way in hell Wilson would give up the chance to make the angel bowl. And he suspected there was no way Abby was going to let him weasel out of the agreement he'd just accidentally stepped into.

"I...suppose that would be all right. If James really feels up to it. He's been in a bit of pain lately, though," he added, in a desperate attempt to escape. "So he might not."

"Of course, I'd never want to cause Dr. Wilson any pain." Abby said seriously. "If he doesn't feel up to doing it, I'm sure he'd love to cheer you on."

Damn. Foiled by a cute, bouncy, caffeine addict.

Which were, apparently, something of a weak spot for Aziraphale.

"Quite," he sighed, with a smile. "I would be happy to join your impromptu bowling league. And to furnish snacks as well."
