Teachers Lounge - Open from Noon - 7th Period

Between Hawkeye's suggestion over the radio and the follow-up announcement about the cafeteria today, Wilson had rumaged around in the fridge and pulled together a few extra quiche to take up and feed to his fellow teachers.

He figured this might beat out everybody living on antacids.

After his office hours, right around the lunch hour, Wilson waved to the teddy bear as he headed into the lounge and set up. There was a varity of quiche to choose from:

Quiche Lorraine.
Spinach and Bacon Quiche.
Kicked-Up Quiche for Manly Men.
Smoked Salmon Quiche with Crispy Potato Crust.
and last but not least...
Spinach and Asparagus Quiche.

There was also various teas, cider and coffee to go along with the quiche and on the angel's suggestion a baby greens salad.

After his office hours, Aziraphale made a beeline for the teacher's lounge to get lunch and visit with Wilson.

Hey, he liked quiche. And also, Wilson.

"How has your morning been, love?"

"Considering the subject matter, I think it went rather well." Aziraphale brought his plate of quiche and cup of tea to the couch and sat down. "We covered 'Chosen One' prophecies today, which I have a feeling is a topic that's rather personal for some of my students."

"There seemed to be some discussion going on between Belthazor and Anders regarding the arrangements, but from what I could tell everything seemed to be fine. Belthazor in particular was quite pleased."

Aziraphale sipped at his tea. "I think perhaps getting away from the things that have been happening here lately will be good for everyone."

"I don't mind trying to keep up with them. And since Abby has an abundance of energy, I expect she'll be a good help in that regard."

Aziraphale echoed the grin, though. He really was looking forward to the trip. "Quite, my dear. But I'm certain our students would never get into that sort of trouble on purpose."

Yes, the angel was probably in for a rude awakening.

It did actually take a few minutes, and it was obvious from Aziraphale's expression that he was trying to figure out what good mirrors on the ceiling would do anyone.

Then he blushed, which was probably a good hint that he got it.

"Well, er...certainly the hot tub, love. Although if you, ah...want mirrors..."

Oh look, tea!

Well, certainly, that wasn't a terribly debatable point. Although it now meant that Aziraphale had an image in his head, and one that he was pretty sure wasn't work safe appropriate considering the time and place.

Well, the place, anyway. He didn't really have much of a concept of what might constitute an inappropriate time.

"Well, I, er..." Sip. "As you wish, love, of course." Sip. Cough.

For just an instant, a mirror faded into being on the ceiling of a certain apartment in a certain town. That event coincided with the amusing incident of an angel inhaling tea up his nose.

Having a mortal body did have its drawbacks, apparently.

"I, uh, er..." Cough.

"Really, my dear," Aziraphale finally sputtered, wiping his eyes as he managed to convince the tea to relocate itself from his lungs.

Not actually being mortal also had its advantages.

"A thought that you just had to share while we're sitting here in the teachers lounge," the angel retorted, not fooled for an instant by the innocent expression.

Then he leaned over and whispered something into the young doctor's ear.

Sitting back up straight again, the angel crossed his legs and smugly sipped at his tea.

The angel gave an answering eyebrow quirk, and looked thoughtful.

"Possibly," he finally conceded. "But what about the...?" A little meaningful tilt of the head. "Or were you thinking more along the lines of...?" Vague wave of the hand.

Funny that Wilson should have made such a suggestion. Because, in fact, the Chinese place already had a delivery order placed, and was just waiting for the dinner hour to deliver it.

"I do think that's an excellent idea, love. Perhaps we could open up a bottle of the wine we picked up during our outing last weekend as well. There was a really lovely Riesling that I think would go nicely."
