Teachers Lounge - Open from Noon - 7th Period

Between Hawkeye's suggestion over the radio and the follow-up announcement about the cafeteria today, Wilson had rumaged around in the fridge and pulled together a few extra quiche to take up and feed to his fellow teachers.

He figured this might beat out everybody living on antacids.

After his office hours, right around the lunch hour, Wilson waved to the teddy bear as he headed into the lounge and set up. There was a varity of quiche to choose from:

Quiche Lorraine.
Spinach and Bacon Quiche.
Kicked-Up Quiche for Manly Men.
Smoked Salmon Quiche with Crispy Potato Crust.
and last but not least...
Spinach and Asparagus Quiche.

There was also various teas, cider and coffee to go along with the quiche and on the angel's suggestion a baby greens salad.

"I've been a bit buried under research," Ellie admitted. "I figured I'd come up for some air."

"It's a good idea every once in a while," Aziraphale agreed, chuckling. "What sort of research are you working on?"

"Some work for SETI," Ellie explained. "I can hardly tell the people giving us grants that I've met students from other worlds right here, so I have to find some hard evidence elsewhere to convince them to keep giving us money."

Aziraphale wasn't certain he knew about SETI, but he certainly understood the reference to students from other worlds. "This research is about...people from other planets?" he guessed, figuring that outer space would be of more interest to an astronomer than alternate dimensions might be. "Yes, I can imagine it would be difficult to convince your backers to believe anything you might want to tell them about Fandom. I hope it's going well, then. This alternate research, I mean. It would be a shame for you to have to stop your studies."

Ellie smiled. "Well enough. Still no solid evidence, but I've managed to convince some backers that there is the possibility of life out there. It would be an awfully big waste of space if there wasn't. At least dealing with the students here has given me more hope that one day my world will be ready to discover new life."

"I have to honest, I never believed in aliens myself until I came here. Of course...now that I look back, it's awfully silly of me. But it wasn't really my department, so...I suppose I can be forgiven." He smiled back, and sipped at his tea.

"I wonder," he mused, "If HE has a separate Plan for them, or if we're all part of the same Plan."

"I'm not so much of a believe in Plans, especially divine ones," Ellie admitted, blissfully unaware she was talking to an angel. Oh, the irony.

"Oh, that's quite all right, my dear." Aziraphale waved his hand in a gesture that probably was meant to convey a sense of unimportance. "HE believes in you, and you're in the Plan, so it all works out."
