Faculty Lounge, Monday, noonish
Emma had found her office, but as it did not yet have enough white furniture or booze, she'd quickly relocated to the faculty lounge. That might not have white furniture either, but it did have a sofa which she was currently lounging in while reading 'Betty Crocker's Cookbook'. Every once in a while she picked up a red pen and made comments in the margins. A cup of tea was steaming happily on the table beside her, and her fifth attempt at muffins were piled up on a tray. They were probably not poisonous.

If Emma had been trying to read Orpheus' mind before he addressed her she'd notice an "absence of sound" as she might notice when she's being blocked. When he does notice her it switches abruptly to the sort of absence of sound that is the result of absence of thought as he takes in how she's dressed.
