Faculty Meeting - Tuesday Before Classes

The food was there, the guard teddy bear was there, the coffee was there. Everything was set. Hades was fidgeting.

"So, uh," he rubbed the back of his neck. "Here's the thing. The school board is coming to visit next week and they can shut us down if we don't show 'em a good time, so try not to be your usual charming selves."

We really need a ping pong table.

"Couple of things. There's an email going around that one of the kids is evil. They might be, might not be, it's not for me to judge. But the official policy is 'try to talk them out of doing anything stupid if they bring it up, if they don't bring it up, don't mention it.' You know, in case it comes up, or doesn't. Whatever.

The school board thing, before you pummel me with questions, they're coming next week. Monday to Friday. They'll be dropping in on classes. If they give you trouble, well, I don't know. Deal with it however you deal with it.

And we're gonna go with that mentor thing that that guy suggested." He pointed at Doctor Wilson. "~~OOC~~ sign-ups will be up later this week. Participate or you'll look like an idiot."

The Lord of the Dead's opinions are his own. There'll be an OOC post later this week with sign-ups for the mentor program. Students will have a chance to sign up too. Please don't ask for specific students because it puts us in an awkward position. We'll try to do it fairly and get top preferences for as many students as possible.

Rose arrived, wearing dark glasses. Hangover? Oh, yeah. She made an immediate beeline for the coffee and managed to grunt something that sounded like, "Morning."

"A student's gone ~~to the Dark Side~~ evil?" Rose asked. There might be disbelief in her tone, might just be her fighting a yawn. It's really a toss-up.

Oh, look, there was Rose hoarding all the coffee.

Geordi was there and he also had a mug of coffee with him.

"Evil is such a strong word, and we shouldn't go around labelling the kids. I don't want to be responsible for a therapy bill."

Yes, this was coming from Hades. He may have been high on ambrosia or up to something. It was really hard to tell which.

Thursday was there too, stocking up on some coffee before she had to go back to her office.

Rose stared at Hades. "You don't believe in labels?"

Hades looked reluctant to commit to anything. "'Believe' is such a strong word..."

Emma brightened. "Which student?" Surely, they couldn't blame her if she mindwhammied an evil student? Or an overly annoying school board member?

"You're a god." Rose pointed out. "Thought 'believe' was your key word."

Rose turned and saw the other woman, and grunted, "Mornin'."

"It's a mystery," Rose said from her side of the room.

Emma pouted. "I don't like mysteries."

I like mysteries. Rose thought but only managed an incoherent sentence as she stifled a yawn.

Aziraphale and Wilson ~~modded with permission~~ arrived a bit early, grabbing a cup of tea and of coffee respectively, and then found a quiet corner from which to listen and observe. Both men looked grim, and stuck close together.

The Doctor was there.

Aly arrived looking disturbingly wide-awake. She did find coffee though and a seat.
