Early Thursday Morning - Before workshops

After getting back from his night out with Aziraphale, Wilson had decided to address one little bit of business before he passed out for a much needed nap.

Placing a call ~~in a handwavey manner~~ to the other faculty member involved in this little idea, the doctor had gathered up the item he'd picked up on the mainland and headed up to the school before workshops.

Standing just inside the faculty lounge, he tapped the rolled up calander in his hands and debated where to hang it for best effect.

[ooc: Thread for the other faculty member (who knows who he is) is locked to them but please feel free to come in afterwards and remark. :) Also this is done with knowledge of Umbridge's player.

ETA: Dates discussed are all vague like since we don't know the exact timelines. :)]

Anakin pointed immediately at the far wall. "What's the point in buying it if there's a chance she won't see it?" he asked, a very small smile tugging at his lips.

Wilson grinned wickedly.

"I was hoping that would be your answer," he said with a bounce of his eyebrows. He'd given the other option just as a way to make sure Anakin didn't feel pushed into something that might cause them a little punishment later.

Tugging duct tape out of a bag he headed for the wall in question.

"Help me hang it high? It would be great if it can be seen from the hallway."

"Give me a few hours and I can rig up a spotlight," Anakin promised, holding the calender up against the wall.

He shrugged. "I don't do subtle."

"Now that would be a nice touch," Wilson agreed as he climed up on the sofa and began to tear off bits of tape.

"Given her taste in interior decour, her eyes would probably miss subtle.

All that pink!

"I'd hate for her to miss it," Anakin said, already coming up with a mental list of parts he'd need to track down.

"Especially after we went through all this effort," Wilson said with a wolfish grin.

"You know, I was thinking. Maybe we could have a reverse baby pool, with folks paying a dollar to put down a guess for when they think Zoe is coming back?"

"With a bonus of some kind if you happen to aid in getting her to leave on your day?" Anakin asked. "Initiative like that should be rewarded."

Wilson chuffed with amusement and set the last bit of tape. In all he had about 10 pieces of ducttape behind the calander holding it in place. After all, didn't want it to slip!

"I like that plan, maybe a gift certificate to the Perk or JGOB and bragging rights?"

"I think for something of this much importance, free alcohol should be involved," Anakin decided. "I'll talk to someone."

"Good call," Wilson said with a nod, putting on the last bit of tape and hopping back down off the sofa.

"Need any help with the spotlight?" He offered, pulling out a sharpie and offering it to Anakin if he wished to do the honors and make the appropriate marks upon the calendar.

Anakin flipped to the first week of September, then scrawled his name on September 2.

"Force forbid this woman is here for more than another month," he muttered.

"I've got the spotlight covered," he said, handing the marker back and beginning to pull apart a small desk lamp with the easy disregard the gifted have for doing something most people would consider impossible.

"Another month is 29 days too long if she keeps up with all these 'changes'. The students are going to be getting their backs up soon and that never bodes well."

Wilson took the marker, scratched through the days that had already passed since Umbridge had come on the scene and then circled a day that seemed reasonable for Zoe to be back from her leave as the countdown day.

He might have even added a countdown on the days themselves.

Scrawling his own name on a date not too far from Anakin's, Wilson capped the marker and set about taping it close to the calendar so that other's could add their names and guesses if they wished.

"I'll make coffee," he offered, figuring they could use a cup and then leave the rest for any other faculty who might swing by.

Anakin had made himself a nice pile of lamp bits and was reassembling them quickly into something a little more spotlight shaped.

He rummaged through drawers until he found a hammer and nails, banged the tiny light up over the calendar and flipped it to life.

"Perfect," he said with a pleased nod, reaching for a cup of coffee.

He was going to need it today.

"Very nice," Wilson said with genuine awe in his tone for how quickly and neatly Anakin had produced the spotlight out of the lamp.

Sipping on his own cup of coffee, he studied their work with a definite air of pride.

"Figure we're going to get detention for this?" He asked in a conversational tone, not sounding overly concerned about the possibility.

Anakin rolled his eyes. "This is my worried face," he said. "My old ma..boss made Umbridge look like a walk through cotton candy. I don't scare any more."

Crossing his arms, Wilson smirked.

"See, now you're loading me up with an image of filling her office with bright pink cotton candy."

"She'd probably enjoy that," Anakin commented sourly.

"Mmm," Wilson said thoughtfully and sighed.

"You're probably right, guess I was just thinking of the whole respect thing. I balk at people who simply walk in and demand respect. Earn it, damn it."

"I come from a long tradition of people getting respect just by walking into a room," Anakin said with a shrug. "It's the refusal to give the same courtesy to anyone else I find galling."

"Hallmark of a bully," Wilson muttered, then raised his coffee mug in a sort of toast.

"May her stay be short and Zoe's return swift."

Anakin tapped his mug against Wilson's. "Here, here."
