Teacher's Lounge, Wednesday Morning

The students were not the only ones that needed a break from the stress of finals and graduation, and so Ghanima set herself up in the teacher's lounge, large boxes of moddable goodies from JGoB on the tables. Her work for the semester was done, but that didn't mean she couldn't share.

Teachers needed sugar too, darn it.

"If they break us, then I'll buy them pastries," Ghanima stated firmly. "Until then, this is a staff-only party."

"You want to encourage the students to break us?" Indy asked. "I think most of the students would do that now for half a doughnut."

"Considering you've already survived at least one invasion? Any student that actually managed to traumatize us would have to be highly talented," Ghanima pointed out. "You're the librarian. Just feed any potential troublemakers to those books of yours."

"I wouldn't exactly call it survive," Indy said scratching his chin. "And while the feeding of students to Special Collections sounds like a good idea, getting it to cooperate is another."

"Is it vegetarian?"

"Nah. Just has a mind of its own," he smirked as he put some cream cheese on his bagel. "If I tell it to do something chances are it'll rebel and throw books at me."

"What did you do to incur such wrath?" she asked curiously. "Spill coffee on old manuscripts?"

"Forgot to return a book," he admitted sheepishly. "Its been a little frosty to me ever since."

"As my students would say, 'harsh,'" Ghanima replied. "Have you tried wooing your way back into its good graces, or is that still too hazardous to your health?"

"And I cannot believe I just asked that about a library."

Dr. Jones let out a snort of amusement. "Lady? I try and treat that library with kid gloves. I just think it doesn't like me much."

"You hurt its feelings!" she laughed. "Maybe you should call former librarians, see if any of them can intercede on your behalf."

"I'm pretty sure the library ate the former librarians," Indy half-joked.

"Well, I suppose that negates the need for a retirement package."

"Though it does explain why I get combat pay," he smirked.

"You get combat pay? I want combat pay," Ghanima objected in mock-outrage. "Any job where zombies are a possibility deserves combat pay."

"What can I say?" Indy replied while holding his arms out in supplication. "I guess being eaten by books is a tough gig to sell. From what I can tell the position changes on a regular basis."

"The collection gets hungry, and then it's time for the next course," Ghanima deadpanned. "How many student employees do you go through? Doesn't it just pick one every time it wants a snack?"

"I guess it prefers adults," Indiana said with a shrug. "It gave them a tropical week when they came back from Spring Break. Me? I miss a book being due and got sucked into Special Collections for a week."

"Or maybe it's trying to lull them into a false sense of security?" she suggested. "Easy meals to-go, as it were."

"It's possible," he mused. "Though I don't think the school would put up with student eating libraries. Librarians however I guess aren't as important."

"It's encouraging future generations of librarians, as all good libraries should!" Ghanima retorted. "So what if it's for eating? As long as it waits until they've graduated..."

"I just think it prefers its meals to have a little age on them," Indiana chuckled. "Or in the cause of some of our former librarians? Fur."

"Fur?" Ghanima asked, blinking. "I'm not quite sure I want to know."

"Well according to the information I've seen one of the librarians used to be an orangutan and the other one... well the other one had blue fur," Indiana said with a frown. "I don't ask any more. I just nod."
