Staff Meeting, Friday Afternoon (after classes)

In order to check on all of the teachers once the first week was over, Zoe had sent out a ~~handwavey~~ notice for the semester's first faculty meeting. The lounge had been cleaned and set up with coffee, tea, and a variety of offerings from J,GOB to entice people to come - and to get them to stay, assuming Zoe's gaze didn't do the trick

Eat, drink, meet each other, etc.!

"I just wanted to take a moment to welcome all of our new teachers. You've made it through the first week, and you're all still here, so I'm taking that to mean you either come from a place crazier than this, you're starting to get used to things here, or you're still in shock and haven't had the chance to leave yet. I'm hoping it's one of the first two," Zoe said, smiling. "I also want to thank those of you who were here last term and have come back. It's good to see you all again. Remember, if any of you have questions or run into some trouble, you can come to me, or Deadpool, or Barney, or Benton, and we'll take care of you as best we can. With that said, is there anything else anyone would like to discuss?"

Loki always liked these meetings. For one, the food was free. For two, the couches in here were nice. So, food in one hand, he was propped up on one of the couches, feet up, looking like he could have owned the place.

Fraser wasn't all that hungry but that didn't stop him from attending the meeting. He stood off to one side, hands clasped behind his back and eyes looking over the assembling teachers.

Tyler turned down the baked goods, but he helped himself to some coffee and eyed the crowd. He realized this was his fourth full semester; that was reassuring in one way and weird in another.

Snow was still melting in Henry's hair when he got to the meeting, a little late. The doctor in Baltimore hadn't directly called him crazy, which was good, but it didn't sound like he had any initial treatment plans that hadn't been tried and failed already.

He put that out of his mind as he focused on trying to look approachable.

Henry raised a hand. "Hey, I'm Henry DeTamble, the new librarian. Mostly starting to get used to the place. Also curious what it will come up with next."

"Anyhow, if anyone has a class project you want to use the library for, let me know. I think it'd make the place happy -- and it would definitely make me happy -- to get a few more kids in there."

Ghanima was there, as usual, perfectly happy to partake in coffee and pastries.

Paige was never one to turn down baked goods, even if they weren't quite as good as her sister's.

She looked around, hoping to meet more of her fellow colleagues.

Paige figured it was a good idea to introduce herself to the boss at some point, so she waited until the meeting was starting to break up and went over to say hello.

"Hello, Principal Winchester," she said with a smile. "I'm Paige Matthews."

Nick was there, but he was as per usual keeping to the corners and smiling politely at people without actually starting a conversation.

Cindy had snagged some life-giving coffee and a cheese danish. Breakfast of champions, that.

Ambling over to a couch with its back against the wall, her expression wavered between 'approachable' and 'slightly unnerved.'

She could only imagine how a real Mundy would deal with this place.

"If I were to give you my suggested reading list for my class, would you mind pulling the books out of the stacks?" Cindy asked. Then gave him a smile and a wave. "Cindy Perrault. Also of the new teacher persuasion."

"Sure," Henry grinned, grateful for the actual work. "Give me enough notice, and I could probably order enough cheap reading copies that nobody will have to share."

"And it's nice to meet someone else who's still adjusting."

Alysha eyed the pastries carefully before selecting a lemon cranberry muffin as well as a cup of coffee.

Finding a comfortable seat, she turned her attention to the other teachers, guarding herself against any other reactions like there'd been with Anakin, yes.

Remus located a cup of tea and a scone. He anticipated that should Sirius show up to the meeting, there likely wouldn't be much left of either, so he'd best get what he could now.

"You look cozy," Paige joked.

Zoe glanced over and smiled at Paige in return. "Please, call me Zoe. It's nice to meet you. Did you have a good first week?"

"It's... been interesting," Paige admitted. "I met my older sister from an alternate universe who is actually younger than me here yesterday."

Paige glanced over at the woman and got a sense that she might also be new. Which meant, of course, that she needed to introduce herself.

"Hi, there," she said. "I'm Paige Matthews, one of the new teachers."

"It looks that way because I am," he said breezily. "I must be doing a damn good job."

"I'm going to guess you're not new around here," she said. "Paige Matthews, magic teacher."
