Free Period for Teachers -- Monday, October 3rd

Sarah drops a bottomless box of jelly doughnuts onto the table in the teachers's lounge and turns on the coffee maker.

She thinks briefly about leaving a few liquor bottles just in case one of the teachers needs something to relax after teaching classes today, but figures that can wait until Friday.

(OOC: Well, hell, the teachers need to relax, too, right? So the free periods for the teachers start today. :))

Since one of his minions student assistants have gone all meglomanical on him (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/165906.html), Methos has not had coffee this morning. He grabs his usually black coffee, and notices the jelly donuts. Taking two one, he sits down and puts his feet up.

[A few minutes later, the Doctor enters. He is carrying a laptop, and smiles when he sees the librarian.]

Hello.

[identity profile] prof-methos.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good morning, Doctor." Methos grins back, rather wryly. He hasn't forgotten the Doctor's request to get together and have a chat, but he's been managing to duck it -- which is pointless considering CJ gave him the third degree on Friday.

[raises a brow at him] How was your weekend?

[identity profile] prof-methos.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Blessedly quiet. Although I think I lost a day somewhere in Special Collections. I spent all day Friday thinking it was Thursday. Yours?

Spider arrived with a large box that was producing appetizing smells, a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth and his cat at his heels. Spying Methos, he veered to choose a seat nearby, opening the box and fishing out a large hamburger. "I have some maps to return to the library."

[identity profile] ten-and-chips.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[sniffs the air, wonders if there are french fries in the box...then pours himself a big cup of coffee]

[identity profile] prof-methos.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
*quirks an eyebrow at the cat* There seem to be a few felines around campus. I hope the maps were... useful.

[identity profile] jerusalem-s.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Only one with two faces." Spider turns the box toward them and it is almost full of various burgers and french fried potato products. "Useful...? To a certain degree. There's only so much you can do with maps that were drawn before a certain technological level."

[identity profile] ten-and-chips.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, Professor Jerusalem. [takes some Fried Potato Items]

[identity profile] prof-methos.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Methos stretches out. "True. Then again, it makes it more of a challenge to find something where your source is flawed and/or based on subjective landmarks."

*takes hamberger with relish*

You're quite right about the cat. Last one I saw didn't have two faces, just sharp claws. Dare I ask if its name is Janus?

*CJ walks in after her class, gets herself some coffee, and lays down on the couch.*

Hey gang. *feebly*

[identity profile] jerusalem-s.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Spider waved a hamburger at her. "Hungry?"

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. *She takes it and begins picking bits of bun off and eating them*

You're...Mr. Jerusalem, right? Journalism?

[identity profile] jerusalem-s.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's right." Spider smiled at her and took a big bite of burger. Once the pressing matter of hunger had been dealt with, he asked, "How are your classes going."

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Really well. *Her stomach has calmed down and she tries an actual bite*

We're covering obedience this week. Last week it was trust. I have some very sharp kids in my class. How about you? *Sips her coffee*

Grissom comes in, looking a bit tired. He quickly grabs a cup of coffee and sits down to grade exams.

"A bottomless box of donuts? Maybe I can adjust to the magic at this school more quickly than I realized." he mumbles under his breath, smiling as he eats.

How are your classes going? *a quick smile*

[identity profile] drgrissom.livejournal.com 2005-10-03 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Quite well, I think. How are yours coming along?"

Some apparently do not believe water could affect the weathering process. Others are plotting how to use DNA and cloning to replace their leaders and take over the world.

Pretty well, I suppose.

Duncan comes in, drawn irresistably by the smell of hamburger and looking hopefully at all food.

Drusilla comes into the room, grabs a doughnut, and bites into it, letting the red jelly trail down her chin. She wipes it off with her fingers and licks them clean.

*Daniel walks into study hall and starts lounging on one of the couches, thumbing through a book that for once has nothing to do with school.*

Lorelai enters the teachers lounge, having been lured by the scents of sugar and coffee.

She shakes her head and pushes the images of the last night she was here out of her mind, snags two donuts and fills her extra large coffee mug to the brim.

She looks around and realizes she hasn't met any of her fellow teachers.

[ooc: feel free to interact w/Lor... I haven't gotten her out to play much. She & her hubby took refuge here after the first night of zombie attacks, for clarification of the above statement.]

Tick enters the lounge belatedly. Nobody is around, but the bottomless box of donuts remains.

Tick becomes curious. He takes a penny and drops it into the box. There is no sound. Tick peers into the box. There is no penny.

Tick whistles. "It really is bottomless."
