Teacher's lounge- Thursday daytime
Brooke had planned to go to her office and do some research and write something out for Monday's class. What actually happened is that she remembered she'd been a terrible student who hated doing homework and wandered over to the teachers' lounge to explore.
Somewhere she'd found a bottle of scotch someone had hidden away and was drinking a glass of it, while throwing darts at a certain picture that someone had put up years ago. She had nothing against the guy she just felt like it was the thing to do.
[Open to teachery types!]

He wasn't too proud to do that.
He realized before too long that he didn't actually know which office was his. Which led to some exploring, which led him to peeking into the lounge, a little surprised to see that somebody was already in there.
... "That guy do something we should be keeping an eye on him for?"

She hadn't been around when he'd actually been a teacher.

Fjord quirked a little, amused smile at that.
"We're encouraged to get our frustrations out in effigy, are we? Probably better than actually throwing darts at the kids."
Yeah, Fjord, you had never met the guy. You'd possibly understand if you had.

Ah, yes. Good. That was nice.
"I might be lucky so far. None of my students seem too bad."
Some were maybe a little bit of a handful, but he kind of figured that was a teenager thing in general.

Hm. He'd have to remedy that, perhaps.

He flopped into a chair. "Any more of those bottles?"
no subject
She would restock, oh yes. Mondays alone would require it.

"Miguel," he said by way of introduction, flopping back down and pouring himself a drink.

Just to confirm with his own eyes.
He only recognized Fjord, but the others also looked like they might be teachers. "Is there a meeting?" he asked, coming into the room.

He came in, looking around the room, and pausing at the sight of the man's portrait for a moment, before refocusing on the lady. "I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting you, Miss. I am Pastor Carter."
no subject
Yep.
no subject
"Ah... Pastor is a title," he explained, taking a seat gingerly on one of the couches. "Carter is my first name, but as a clergyman, I am a Pastor."

"Fjord," Carter said, with a nod of his own. "It's been... quite well, I suppose. Busy. The graveyard here has been shockingly neglected."
After a moment's hesitation, he added, "And you? How has your week gone?"
no subject
So. That was frustrating.
"I've found the locals to be quite pleasant, though."
