Teacher's Lounge: [1/16]

Susan opened up the Teacher's Lounge, and left a selection of muffins and bagels for the teachers. Might as well get acquainted, so they'd know who to send the problem students to, if needed.

She stopped, frowning at a magazine someone had left on the coffee table.

People? Must be American. But who on Earth was J-Lo?

His host? Camulus fought a frown. She should be focusing on him, not a moldy human bard. "Yes, I suppose it would be for you. I teach Celtic Studies and a course on the legend of Arthur." What was it that she said she taught? Or did. "And you are a . . . counselor? I've never encountered the need for that in a school. I can understand their value in the running of an empire - I had several, but what would students need one for?"

"Ah, of course," Camulus nods. "Your services would appear to be much needed in this school. Especially with all the . . . emo being . . . thrown. Or something along those lines."

He flashes her another smile. "If you are interested in Arthur, feel free to sit in on a lesson any time. Tuesdays and Thursdays. I, by the way, am Camulus." He almost said the words, "I am your god" but managed to refrain.

"Please do," Camulus says with another smile and a slight bow. "If you'll excuse me," he extracts the still-chirping Walkman, "I'm attempting to teach my class the rudiments of Scots Gaelic and I fear the task may overwhelm me yet."

Camulus nodded at her, found a quiet corner, donned his head phones, and resumed his irate notetaking.
