Teacher's Lounge: [1/16]

Susan opened up the Teacher's Lounge, and left a selection of muffins and bagels for the teachers. Might as well get acquainted, so they'd know who to send the problem students to, if needed.

She stopped, frowning at a magazine someone had left on the coffee table.

People? Must be American. But who on Earth was J-Lo?

Methos can apparently scent free food. He steps into the lounge, then stops when he sees someone new. "Hi. Forgive me, because I've been dreadful at meeting people here, but are you new?"

"Extemely," Susan said, smiling. "This is my first day. And wonderful, another ex-pat. I'm Susan Pevensie, I'm the new school counselor."

Methos' mouth quirked, and he declined to explain that his accent was, at best, an affectation. "Adam Pierson. A pleasure. If there's anything I can do to help settle you in, please let me know."

"Thanks. I do have a question, actually." Susan held up the copy of People. "Is this woman very popular here? Because I've never heard of her."

RC wanders in, deep in thought about the Alamo.

"Hello. Have a muffin," Susan offered, pouring herself a cup of coffee. "I'm Susan, I'm the new school counselor."

She takes the muffin with a "thanks" and peers at the new woman. "I'm Samantha Carter, nice to meet you."

"Susan Pevensie. Dr. Pevensie, actually. It's nice to meet you too, Samantha. What do you teach here?" Susan admired Samantha's hair, and half-wished that her own would do the flippy thing if she cut it short. Oh, well.

Coughing and spluttering behind his tissues, Daniel's not really aware of anything as he heads into the lounge.

"Are you all right?" Susan asked, looking concerned. "You sound like Dr. Wilson does."

Daniel raised his head and looked up at her. "Please don't tell me you've been here since last semester too," he said, sounding all congested.

"I'm so sorry," she laughed. "No, I'm Susan Pevensie, the new school counselor, this is my first day. You're not the extrovert of the faculty, I take it."

Immensely refreshed by his "business meeeting" with Dallas last night, Autolycus ventured into the Teachers lounge whistling cheerfully.

"Good morning. Have a muffin." Susan smiled, then blinked at the newest person's... costume. "I'm Susan Pevensie, new school counselor."

"Good morning, my dear Ms Pevensie," Autolycus smiled back. "I'm Autolycus, the King of Theives, but you can call me Auto."

"It's lovely to meet you, Auto. Feel free to call me Susan the Queen of Narnia." She smiled and poured herself another cup of coffee. "I'll be working at the clinic as of today. May I ask what you teach?"

Josh walked into the teachers' lounge with a copy of the Washington Post. He brightened immediately at the new face. "Hey there," he said. "I'm Josh Lyman."

"Hello! I'm Susan Pevensie. I'm the new school Counselor." She gestured to the muffins and bagels. "Can I offer you breakfast? This is my first day, and I thought I ought to start it as pleasantly as possible. I have a feeling this school can be a bit... challenging."

"Are they the finest muffins and bagels in the land?" Josh asked, then smiled. "Sorry. Old joke. Breakfast would be great."

He grabbed a blueberry muffin and sat down close to Susan. "What do you teach?"

Camulus, a rare sight in the teachers' lounge, appears in the door with a very, very old-school Walkman and a scowl on. He appears to be taking notes and scratching things out with a bit of vehemence. If one got close enough, one could probably hear a reedy woman's voice emenating from the poorly-adjusted headphones.

Susan blinked at the sight of the Walkman, fascinated at such a tiny tape player, but a little wary of interrupting the new teacher (another kilt. Clearly dress code was not a problem) in the midst of his note-taking. She waved a muffin in his line-of-sight, and waited to see if he'd take off the (also tiny) head-phones.

Camulus blinks at the sight of food and realises that there was a human woman in his path. Time to put those skills Beka had informed him he had to use. He hunted for the 'stop' button but couldn't find it, so settled for simply taking off the headphones and tucking the whole thing away.

Susan was welcome to try and discover where.

"Tapadh leibh," he grumbled, taking the muffin from her. "Thank you. Although you seem to be unfamiliar, Miss . . ."

CJ who completely spaced she's signed up for mondays this term and it was only last week she did it omg comes in, blushing but extremely grateful someone picked up her slack.

The muffins were becoming depleted, but there were still several bagels left. "Hello. I'm Susan Pevensie, the new school Counselor." Wouldn't it have been more convenient if she'd put up a sign by the muffins, possibly? "Welcome to the feast."
