Teacher's lounge Monday

Jeff's was utterly cleaned out yesterday, so everythign is really fresh this morning. Doughnuts, pastries, bagels, and a lovely selection of savory breads. Coffee and soft cheeses are also on the table. Except for the hours she teaches, CJ's in the lounge switching between the different news channels and CSPAN to see the ongoing brouhaha over the SOTUA.

"A...student." Her lips twitch in odd, random spasms as she tries so very hard not to smile. "I'd kinda like to hear you spout Byron, Gil. Well, I prefer Neruda, personally. Totally outstrips She Walks In Beauty." She nods emphatically, pretty sure she's really not helping.

"A student's body, nothing more than a shell, taken over by a powerful entity capable of completely controlling men against their will," he quickly corrects, although he was totally turned on by Rogue's sexy black leather gloves, so he's a big fat hypocrite.

"I'm good with secrets." She smirks at him, then pats his knee. "But really, it couldn't have been fun. To be out of control. I feel for you."

"Well, at least I didn't try to start an anarchist revolution from the Humanities Wing," he teases good-naturedly.

"No, but, it was difficult. But I've learned there are things that are even more difficult than a simple lack of control. So I wouldn't trade the experience in, I suppose."

He leans back in his seat. "How about you?" he asks, although he doesn't know if he quite has the right. "Has it been worth it, for you, to be in Fandom?"

"Hey, vive la revolucion, okay?" she laughs softly and leans back too. "Eh, it's been a learning experience, that's for sure. Yeah, I'd have to say yes. I've met great people, gotten two kids out of the deal and I didn't even ruin my hips having them...and I met Ten. It's been more good than bad I think."
