Teacher's lounge Monday

Jeff's was utterly cleaned out yesterday, so everythign is really fresh this morning. Doughnuts, pastries, bagels, and a lovely selection of savory breads. Coffee and soft cheeses are also on the table. Except for the hours she teaches, CJ's in the lounge switching between the different news channels and CSPAN to see the ongoing brouhaha over the SOTUA.

Grissom comes in for breakfast, and smiles warmly at CJ and the lovely collection of savory breads.

She looks away from the distinguished gentleman from the land of hasn't-got-a-clue and returns his smile.

"Good morning, Gil! The sundried tomato, olive and rosemary is really good with the chevre."

Grabbing the remote, she mutes the talking head.

"How've you been?"

Grissom grabs the recommended food, and takes a seat next to CJ, smirking at the television.

"Better if we had a different administration," he says, gesturing toward the TV. "I've been well, how are you?"

"His speechwriters are awful, and his comm director is seriously negligent. I can feel Toby's migraine from here. I'm good. Older. Less hungry."

"I don't think even Geoff could make intelligible sentences come out of that man's mouth."

Grissom shakes his head, and then turns to CJ. "It's good to see you back to your usual self, although I have to admit teenaged you did have her charms. And I saw the food in the kitchen. I told you, you didn't have to do that."

"You know, I can make that get the BBC, if you like." Ten leans on the back of her armchair and gestures with a bagel spread with brie.

"Ooh, yeah! Do it!" she sits up straighter and waits expectantly.

He fumbles in his pocket, finds the sonic screwdriver, presses a few buttons, and then points it at the telly. The screwdriver goes zap...

And a second later, BBC News 24 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcnews24/listings/index.shtml?service_id=4352&day=yesterday) is on. "Next channel up is Parliament, down is BBC Two, down one more is BBC One. Set this up a while ago. If you turn the telly off, though, it reverts...because I didn't pay the licence fee."

"Oh, you are a bad, bad man." she grins and kisses him softly on the cheek, then speeds throught the channels once more.

"You know you love it." He comes around the chair and perches on the arm, next to her, touching her arm when she passes CBeebies. "Ooh, Radiubbies. Did you know it was theorised by the Thatcher government as a mindcontrol device? I prevented the hijacking of the signal once, very exciting. Now it's only broadcasting a soporific. Nap time over there, you know."

Dream takes a slice of olive bread and settles into a deep chair, after having spread it sparingly with butter.

"How've you been, professor?" She's clutching her coffee cup like she wishes it was someone's neck.

Dream takes in her grasp on the coffee cup. "Possibly better than you, Ms. Cregg. How are your classes this term?"

"My classes? Smaller and quieter. It's kind of nice...a more intimate environment. It's taken some tweaking of my lessons to work with fewer people, but it's good. How about yours? Still teaching cat?"

Susan comes in before heading to the clinic, and pauses when she sees Dream, then goes to the sideboard and loads up a plate before approaching him.

"Professor? May I join you?"

"It's going well, I think. I actually had a question for you, regarding one of my patients." She bit her lip. "I wouldn't ask, except that I think it intrudes upon your-- area of responsibility. And I don't want to cause him any more harm."
