Faculty Party - Friday Afternoon

Lorelai was grateful that Bucky took a nap for part of the morning. It gave her plenty of time to transport food from the diner to the teacher's lounge.

She got everything set up and even decorated the lounge so it would be a little more festive. Since it's Lorelai, that means she hung up some balloons and streamers and covered everything with glitter.

Everything was ready in plenty of time and she was sitting on one of the couches giving Bucky a bottle, waiting for people to start showing up.

"I believe he does like his name." Mary nodded. "This coming Monday I'll be doing a section on hounds and the like. I have a guest speaker coming in, but Diefenbaker would be most certainly welcome. It may do some of the more hesitant students good to have a familiar face to speak a new language to. Is it possible that he might be available?"

//I like it very much thank you. The people and creatures here have been very friendly and welcoming. I'm inquiring with your human here if you would be available to chat with my class in the near future, would you like that?"

Fraser looked down and watched Diefenbaker wag his tail happily. "He is available, yes. And it seems he would be happy to help you."

Diefenbaker barked. //Yes. That sounds like fun.//

"Oh lovely." Mary smiled. "How does he get on with other dogs?"

//Yes, I think my students will enjoy talking to you. I have my friend Andrew coming as well, I'm sure you two will hit it off just fine.//

"He'll be curious, I'm sure, but he's not hostile towards those that don't provoke it," Fraser explained. "He should be fine."

"Andrew is very friendly." Mary nodded. "Not hostile at all... Unless you try to dress him up. He'll have no truck with that any longer."

//I shall be teaching them to do so. I think having someone familiar and friendly will help them learn.//

"I can assure you I won't be attempting to dress Andrew up," he laughed. "I've never attempted that with Dief but I think he wouldn't react well to that either."
