Faculty Party - Friday Afternoon

Lorelai was grateful that Bucky took a nap for part of the morning. It gave her plenty of time to transport food from the diner to the teacher's lounge.

She got everything set up and even decorated the lounge so it would be a little more festive. Since it's Lorelai, that means she hung up some balloons and streamers and covered everything with glitter.

Everything was ready in plenty of time and she was sitting on one of the couches giving Bucky a bottle, waiting for people to start showing up.

"You used to run that karaoke club in town, right?" Lorelai asked. "My husband and I were there on New Years Eve. I'm Lorelai."

Laura managed to find her way to the coffee, hiding a yawn behind the back of her hand. She gave a weary smile to Ellie over the rim of her cup. "Hello."

"Hi," Ellie said, giving Laura a friendly smile. "I Don't think we've met. I'm Ellie, Ellie Arroway. I'm teaching astronomy."

"That's me," Lorelai confirmed, shifting the baby so she could shake Lorne's hand. "And this little guy is Bucky."

"Well, I hope the students are as enthusiastic next week," Laura said with a chuckle. "You never get as much done the first day as you'd like, so we just took the time getting acquainted."

"Are the horns real or body mods?" She wasn't even going to comment on the green skin.

"Well helllllllooooo there cutie!" Lorne said to the baby and making all sorts of cute faces at Bucky. "Well isn't he just adorable."

There was coffee and Wilson was definitely investigating it!

He'd rolled out of bed when Phale had gotten up to head in for his own class, which while not as early as his Monday class was still pretty durn early, so Wilson made a bee line for the coffee.

"Mmmmm, coffee." He purred softly as he cradled a mug.

It took him a cup and a half before the glitter finally sunk in.

"I think so," Lorelai said. Bucky gurgled, looking wholy unimpressed with the green skin and horns. "What are you teaching Lorne?"

Hearing that there was a vast array of new staff, Fraser stopped into the lounge during the staff party to meet those who attended. Of course, he was in uniform and Diefenbaker was at his side.
