Faculty Party - Friday Afternoon

Lorelai was grateful that Bucky took a nap for part of the morning. It gave her plenty of time to transport food from the diner to the teacher's lounge.

She got everything set up and even decorated the lounge so it would be a little more festive. Since it's Lorelai, that means she hung up some balloons and streamers and covered everything with glitter.

Everything was ready in plenty of time and she was sitting on one of the couches giving Bucky a bottle, waiting for people to start showing up.

"Supernatural," Fraser repeated slowly. Upon his arrival, that would've sparked more surprise. Now, not so much. Still, there is interest. "Most faculty who teach have previous experience in their fields. I imagine you do as well?"

"That's quite a long while to dedicate to one thing," he said and then shook his head. "Not that I'm really one to say that. It sounds interesting albeit dangerous."

"It's unfortnately more a job that chooses you than the other way around. And usually in nasty and painful ways," John explained.

"Ah." Fraser nodded. "Well, for a job like that, I do believe you've come to the right place to teach. Unusual occurrences seem to be rather routine around here."

"So I've been told," John said wryly. "Some of the voice messages my boys left me this summer were very surreal, even with what I was usually doing."

"I'm sure your expertise will prove invaluable when this does happen again," Fraser said with a nod. "After jello dragons and snow monsters, there's no telling what might come next."

"Jello dragons might be a little out of my balliwack," John admitted, "but I'm sure I could improvise as needed."
