Faculty Meeting - Monday Before Classes

There was food. There was coffee. Heck, there was even tea for those who couldn't handle the good stuff. There were also chairs littered throughout the room, a portable whiteboard with different-colored markers off to one side and Biff, of course, keeping guard.

Hades is here even though he got shot last night (he's fine, thanks for asking). Why aren't you?

"I don't eat," Vader snarled, slapping the cake away.

Woe. Wasted cake.

Byron momentarily sads at the poor rejected bit of cake and then takes a better look at Vader. He didn't seem to be dead, or undead... But he was obviously subsisting in some "non-traditional" way.

"Nooo, I don't suppose you need to, but unless your intestines have completely atrophied you could partake of some small comestibles. Some tappas perhaps? A bit of dim sum?"

Vader really, really missed tapas.

"I can't take the mask off," he snarled. He tapped the machine on his chest. "My nutritional needs are taken care of in another way."

He crossed his arms over his chest.

He totally wasn't sulking about not ever getting to eat tapas again. Really.

"Can't. Take... What ever? Doesn't it get rather... ripe? In there?"

Vader wondered if his agreement with Zoe included not killing teachers.

"There are cleaning methods," he gritted out.

"Kaaay." Byron says slowly. Not really sure he wants to go there.

"But I beg your pardon sir, I have not introduced myself." He bowed with a flourish. "Doctor Byron Orpheus, at your service."

"I am Darth Vader."

"A pleasure to meet you Mr. Vader... Or may I call you Darth."

"You may not," Vader answered immediately. "You may call me Lord Vader."

"Oh, terribly sorry. Are you the Lord of anything in particular or is it granted you by a higher power?"

The man is terribly grumpy and has some serious negative mojo coming off him but Byron chalks it up to the fact that he has some much technology jammed up his ass.

And the lack of cake.

It's likely to put anybody off.

"I am a Lord of the Sith," Vader intoned.

Pause.

"I blew up a planet."

Might as well get that out there.

Byron has no idea what that is.

"Oh... I'm... Terribly sorry to hear that... Still... Practice makes perfect right?"

"I meant to blow up the planet," Vader corrected icily.

Kaaaay.

"Oh... Well, then I suppose congratulations are in order?"

"There was a very small celebration," Vader said.

He hadn't been invited.

"There was no cake."

"Well I should hope not. If the man of the hour was unable to partake, cake would be something of a faux pas."

"I chose not to attend," Vader said haughtily. "I don't spend time at parties."

Also, he hadn't been invited.

"How did you know there was no cake then?"

He didn't.

"There's never cake."

"Oh unfortunate for those who are able to partake."

"The stormtroopers don't like cake," Vader totally made up.

He'd never asked them.

"... Petit fores?"

Vader stared for a long moment.

"Indeed," he finally went with.

His French was a bit rusty.
