Faculty Meeting - Monday Before Classes

There was food. There was coffee. Heck, there was even tea for those who couldn't handle the good stuff. There were also chairs littered throughout the room, a portable whiteboard with different-colored markers off to one side and Biff, of course, keeping guard.

Hades is here even though he got shot last night (he's fine, thanks for asking). Why aren't you?

Not that she wasn't still eyeing the coffee cake.

"Just a little, thank you," Sakura said. If he wanted to waste energy on fancy entrances, that was his thing to deal with.

It wasn't so much fancy entrances, as not wanting to be late.

He sliced up a piece for her and served it with a flourish.

"Doctor Byron Orpheus, at your service mademoiselle."

"Sakura Nishihori," she replied coolly, with the tiniest nod possible that could pass for polite as she accepted the cake.

Hair like that seemed awfully impractical.

Jealousy is unbecoming. Particularly hair jealousy.

"Please to meet you Miss Nishihori. Tell me, what do you teach?"

Jealousy is also an unnecessary expenditure of time and energy. And if a hairstyle requires anything more than a basic hairtie, Sakura's not all that interested. Unless it's an undercover mission. And then it's just a necessary hassle.

"Mystical artifacts," she said, in the same cool voice. "Yourself, Doctor Orpheus?"

Sakura nodded, noncommittally, as if she hadn't done a doubletake at the abbreviation. "It's a lot of material to cover. As I'm sure is the case with your class."
