Staff Meeting, Friday (after classes)

It had been a long few weeks, so when the teachers arrived for the staff meeting, they would find an assortment of ~~moddable~~ pies on one of the tables, along with ice cream, and the usual drinks. There really was no way to say "I'm sorry if my alternate universe self killed, ate, or scared you," but Zoe figured this was a good start.

Eat, drink, mingle, talk about your weekends, etc.

In case someone's coffee was in need of a helper, Barney had brought his own scotch. It went well with pie.

Ronon tossed some ice cream in his coffee, trying to improve the stuff. It was no Athosian sweet cream, but it'd do.

Ziva stayed away from the pie for the moment, but she certainly wasn't going to say no to more coffee.

Bond leant against the wall, watching his colleges and sipping his coffee.

Naturally, Rick got stuck into the pie as quickly as humanly possible.

Mmm, pie.

Fred eyed the pies, and got twitchy.

He'd just started his diet. He could start it for real tomorrow, right?

He harrumphed and grabbed a cup of water. Freakin' water. Why was it not delicious pie?

Daisy wasn't going to say anything now while the pie was still there, but it should be noted that she certainly noticed Fred's avoidance of said pie. She would definitely have to applaud him on the choice later.

Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie.

Minsc was clearly a fan, helping himself to a large slice, but when it came to Boo's eager lean toward the desert, the berserker would have none of it.

"Now, now, Boo," he scolded, "no pie for you until everyone else has had some first. I know how you like to burrow, and I don't think the others would much appreciate that."

Although she was leaving for the wedding shortly after the meeting, Daisy could hardly refuse taking the chance to have some coffee, although, of course, she'd pass on the pies and ice cream, even if they did look lovely. She was going to miss this whole teaching thing a bit, but then she remembered that this whole teaching bit had been fun, but it wasn't exactly her thing.

Tyler made it to the meeting, though he looked like he wasn't sleeping well. He mainlined even more coffee than usual.

Brennan took a small dish of ice cream and prodded at it with her spoon.

Ghanima slipped in to grab a cup of coffee and a seat by the back, perfectly willing to eat Zoe's food and chat with her coworkers.

"I know I always say that it's good to see all of you, but that's especially true today," Zoe said. "It seems we've survived another...incident with the school and community intact, and I'm very glad for that. Those of you who helped, thank you, and those of you who were over in the town hall, we're glad you're all right.

"We still have a few weeks left in the summer term, but I wanted to take a moment here to encourage you all to think about teaching again in the fall. Our students can use all the good teachers they can get, so we don't want to lose any of you." Zoe smiled. "And that's all I have to say at the moment. Is there anything else we need to discuss?"

If there's anything else people want to bring up.

She won't bite, honest.

Hello Friday! You snuck up on me!

Oops, V is off in Vegas for a weekend of debauchery. DUN FIRE HER PLZ :D

Yeah, 'cause being in Vegas is totally worse than getting arrested. ;)
