Free Period for Teachers -- Monday, October 17th

Sarah makes sure that the hoagies, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and other barbecue food are spread out for everybody to eat.

She sits down in one of the chairs and starts scribbling down notes, leaning over the notebook so no one can see what she's writing. She may be writing a Regency romance novel based on the Fandom High faculty, but you won't get her to admit it. Because she's not writing one, see.

It's entirely possible she's trying to picture Ash during the love scenes, but since she's not actually writing a romance novel -- *shifty eyes* -- she's not really picturing him, is she? Nope. No, sirree.

"Ah... how many variations can there be? I mean, the culture was so stable for so long -- " And I should know, bloody boring place to be sometimes... "-- that the writing did not so much change as get subsumed by other alphabets." Methos shrugged. "Anyway, I only got a quick glimpse. Not enough to produce anything like a reliable example. It's not a big deal, I was just curious."

"Well, broadly speaking, trade was an influence on it, and also there were a number of groups that were... uh, relocated, shall we say, developing their own version of the writing.

And curiosity is not a bad thing. I'm only sorry that I can't help you."

Relocated? Where on earth...? "Anyway, I'm sorry to bother you. Please get back to..." Methos makes a vague wave.

"It's not a problem," Daniel smiles. "I was just thinking. Thank you for introducing yourself. I'm sure I'll be seeing more of you, as we're neighbours now."
