Faculty Meeting - Friday Morning

As promised on the notices that went out to everyone on the staff, there was free food in the teacher's lounge, to entice people to come and stay for the faculty meeting - an assortment of pies, along with coffee and tea.

Yes, the dartboard with Jamie Madrox's face was still up. For therapeutic reasons, of course.

Vala arrived more or less on time and helped herself to a slice of apple pie. Mostly because she heard it was what Americans did.

She then began to wish for some milk.

Mike was eager to meet some of his fellow teachers. If they happened to be gorgeous and female, all the better. "Hello there," he said, flashing a smile at Vala.

"Why?" She asked, recognizing a line and a player when she saw one. Took one to know one, after all.

Mike had to give her credit for that. "You know how it it is, new job, new town, not really knowing anyone yet. It can be rather lonely for a guy like me," he said.

"It's part of my parole agreement," she grinned back at him. "Somehow I figured you'd have a way out of this by now."

"I'm here for the food," Biff replied. "And Barney's booze. And to scope out the rest of the teachers. We're all remarkably good looking, huh?"
