Faculty Meeting - Friday Morning

As promised on the notices that went out to everyone on the staff, there was free food in the teacher's lounge, to entice people to come and stay for the faculty meeting - an assortment of pies, along with coffee and tea.

Yes, the dartboard with Jamie Madrox's face was still up. For therapeutic reasons, of course.

Aly took a piece of damn fine cherry pie and a cup of coffee and suddenly wondered why she felt like Dale.

She shrugged it off and settled back to watch the show.

Vala sat down next to Aly, still wishing for some milk as she scoped the room. "Is it just me, or has the faculty gotten even better looking?"

"Better looking," Aly agreed immediately. "It's our reward for good behaviour...or something."

"It couldn't have been my good behavior," she whispered, "but I approve of this new hiring policy regardless. How've you been?"

"Could be Zoe's post-baby hormones," Aly teased. She grinned. "I've been good. Had some fun torturing the new teachers and introducing the students to Fandom's insanity. You?"

"Got a couple of new housemates," she nodded towards both Bond and Biff, "but I'm falling behind on the torturing, sadly."

"Mmmm," Aly eyed them. "Pretty. I got a new neighbour," she nodded towards Nathan.

"Lovely, if maybe a little too toe the line for me," she decided instantly, without even talking to Nathan. "Pretty as a picture, though."

"Huh." He'd looked more honest than that. Maybe there were possibilities. "I feel like we should thank Zoe somehow. Alcohol or road trip?"
