Faculty Meeting - Friday Morning

As promised on the notices that went out to everyone on the staff, there was free food in the teacher's lounge, to entice people to come and stay for the faculty meeting - an assortment of pies, along with coffee and tea.

Yes, the dartboard with Jamie Madrox's face was still up. For therapeutic reasons, of course.

[OCD is done! I will be around again at 11am Eastern.]

"I had a question about one of my co-workers," Nathan said. Specifically he was wondering how said co-worker could be fired, but he knew he was too far outside the city to ask for that kind of favor.

"One of the teachers here is showing an inappropriate interest in my family," Nathan said. "I was hoping there was a way that could be handled in-house without causing more problems for everyone."

Which Nathan said with the sort of tone that implied his goal here was to help make Zoe's life easier. Though really his goal was to handle things without blowing the incident up so much that it put an even bigger target over his and Peter's heads. But he figured Zoe didn't need to know that.

"If it were unwanted sexual advances towards me, it would be harassment," Nathan said. "If it were towards my underage brother it would be against the law. Both of which would fall under your domain to discipline and fire him respectively. Lucky for all of us that is not the case." Mostly because if Mohinder had gone after Peter that way, Nathan wouldn't have bothered with legal methods of dealing with it.

"My family has gone through a difficult time since my father's death," Nathan said. Hey, it was the party line and a useful one at that. "Peter especially. We sent him here as a way of getting him out of the public eye so he could heal in private." Which... sorta kinda true, if you ignored at least half of it.

Nathan then gave a self-deprecating grimace which came off as geniune to anybody save those who knew he actually practiced this sort of thing to look charming in interviews. "Because I'm a protective older brother, I came here to keep an eye on him. This may seem extreme but back home it's not uncommon for my family to be written about in the papers.

"So when a stranger comes up to me acting like we should be best buds and wastes no time trying to fish for information about me and about Peter - well you can see why I'd get a little suspicious."

"I've dealt with the press before," Nathan said. "I know fishing when I hear it."

"I'm just saying I'd like to be cautious," Nathan said. He didn't feel comfortable enough with the concept of universes just like his own which would be ironic is less than 24 hours but he knew others in Fandom would consider it a possibility. "Sure, maybe it's confusion. Maybe I look like somebody he knows. But if it's not? He wouldn't be the first. I just want to make sure my brother is safe."

When in need of reducing the sharklike appearance? Invoke Peter.

"I wanted it on the record," Nathan said. "So there's documentation in case there's more to this than meets the eye. Some kind of double check into his identification might be nice as well. Just to be on the safe side."

"Dr. Suresh," Nathan said, with a tone that hinted that he wasn't too confident in that 'doctor' part.

"Absolutely," Nathan said. Assuming he didn't just take care of any problems himself.
