Staff Meeting, Friday Afternoon (after classes)

The lounge was set up for another faculty meeting, with snacks and pastries and cold drinks and hot drinks and everything ~~moddable~~ between. It was important to cover all the culinary basics when you were dealing with so many different kinds of people.

After totally playing more Tetris in his office after class, Jim made his way down to the staff meeting and grabbed a grape soda before settling into a chair.

Indiana entered the room and spotted the guy with a grape soda.

Huh.

"Excuse me," he said approaching the young man, "You Jim Halpert?"

"I'm not still wearing a nametag, am I?" Jim asked. "Because that would be embarrassing after a month."

"Nah," Indy replied. "Some kid with a rats next of a hair style ~~handwavily~~ told me to find you here and that you'd be drinking grape soda. I'm Indiana Jones. She said you'd be up for an expedition?"

"You're actually making an expedition?" Jim said, kind of surprised. "... Is that something librarians usually do?"

"I'm not exactly a librarian," Indy said with a small grin. "More like an archeologist who moonlights as a librarian."

"That makes a lot more sense," Jim said, clearly satisfied with the answer. "Layla told me that the expedition couldn't succeed without me."

"She mentioned that," Indiana said giving Jim the once-over. "You ever go on something like this?"

For once, Jim decided to skip any and all jokes. "Absolutely not. The closest I've ever come was probably playing high school basketball and going to State."

"We did go to State in my junior year. I'm pretty sure this will be nothing like that, but my point stands."

"Uh-huh."

Indy glanced at the camera for a moment. Maybe two and then shrugged.

"So you've never been out of the country?"

"I went to New Zealand this summer," Jim said. "I didn't dig anything up, though."

"Hmm. How does Egypt sound to you?" he asked raising an eyebrow at Jim.

"Do I have to bring my own shovel?" Jim asked. "Because I don't have one, but I can pick one up."

"No," Indy grinned. "But you might want to get a hat."

"I can do that. When is this thing happening?" Jim asked.
