fandom_lounge | Staff Meeting, Friday Afternoon (after classes)

Eat, drink, mingle, fight...okay, maybe not that last one.

Drake mingled like a mingling thing that mingled.

Awww, but Tyler was good at fighting! He took some chips and flopped into a seat.

Sweets happily helped himself to a cup of coffee and something to eat. He'd be good with mingling too.

After totally playing more Tetris in his office after class, Jim made his way down to the staff meeting and grabbed a grape soda before settling into a chair.

Indiana entered the room and spotted the guy with a grape soda.

Huh.

"Excuse me," he said approaching the young man, "You Jim Halpert?"

"I'm not still wearing a nametag, am I?" Jim asked. "Because that would be embarrassing after a month."

"As I'm sure some of you are aware, next weekend is Parents Weekend," Zoe said. "Many of the students will have family visiting, and those visitors are gonna want to talk to you to find out how their kids are doing. If you could all find some time to be in your offices over the weekend, we'd greatly appreciate it. I know some of you have friends coming to visit too - there'll be events for them to attend while they're here as well. Are there any questions?"

Colette raised a hand. "How many visitors do we usually get?"

She might have been imagining something like a dinner rush.

"Right now we have about seventy people who have contacted us to say they're coming," Zoe said. "If it's like previous years, we'll have about eighty to ninety visitors in the end."

"If office furniture gets broken during those meetings, is it still our responsibility to replace it?" Anakin asked.

"It depends. Are you expecting a parent to break the furniture, or are you going to break the furniture on a parent?"

Anakin smiled. "That also depends. I didn't plan on hurting the door last year."

Tyler carefully placed a hot pink pterodactyl in front of Zoe. "I have no idea," he explained. "My office was full of these this morning. Figured I'd share the wealth."

Zoe laughed as she picked up the pterodactyl. "Did you do something to bring on an army of tiny dinosaurs?"

"I skipped office hours for a few weeks, maybe two got in and they started breeding."

The plastic toy dinosaurs were breeding. Yes.

"Though that doesn't explain all the different species..."
