Staff Meeting, Friday (After Classes) [09/12]

Now that the semester was underway, Zoe thought it might be a good idea to start regular meetings back up, and had handwavily informed all the teachers of when and where to be. There was pie, juice, coffee, and tea to keep them there in case they didn't want to stay at first.

There was a Deadpool by the coffee and pie. Because that's what you needed to survive. Yes, even after classes were over for the week.

Now if only they could get some alcohol in here...

Tyler needed coffee. A lot more coffee. At this point, he suspected his blood was about 80 percent caffeine.

Fraser bypassed the coffee but did grab a muffin before finding an open spot of wall to lean against.

Abby Irene was there, mostly watching the others. She hadn't met many of the other teachers more than in passing.

Like Murdock could turn down an opportunity of free coffee and pie. He snagged a bit of both and settled in, keeping an eye open for any teachers he didn't know yet.

Edward wasn't interested in any of the food or drink but he got a cup of coffee anyway, not wanting to stand out. He added a bit of cream and sugar to keep his hands busy. Observant folks might notice that he never actually took a sip, though.

The Doctor arrived a little late, but slipped in and got himself some coffee. Yeah, that was going to end well. He took a seat and looked around curiously at the teachers he hadn't met before.

"Well, everyone's made it through the first two weeks without jumping ship or taking casualties. That's always a good sign," Zoe said, smiling. "For those of you who are new, we try to have meetings like this every other week when I remember to post, cough to check in with each other and make sure that everything's running smoothly. I imagine we'll have more to discuss once Homecoming preparations are underway, but for now, I just want to check and make sure that no one's having any problems."

"Other than a pie being exploded at me, everything is working really well," Tyler reported as he leaned back in his seat. "How soon is Homecoming?"

"Might be a little late to tell everyone," Indy spoke up, "but some of the books are turning into kittens with the book's personality. I'd recommend that nobody assign any horror fiction or anything on the occult."

"With so many new faculty members, and welcome to you all, I'd like to make a polite request," he said. "If you're going to get into an argument or fight during your office hours, please close and lock the doors. There's no need for the students to hear that or see it. I'd almost wager they'd start betting on the winner."

I think I had a dream about posting an OOC notice that this was coming, which is why it wasn't real. *facepalm* Anyway, meetings, yay! Like I said, they'll be every other weekish, taking into consideration BDEs and breaks, and this time, I have a Google Calendar reminder set up for posting. *cackle*
